Pietra tenera
Fragment made in Taranto for the decoration of tombs, made in a local stone called pietra tenera. The great ductility of the pietra tenera enabled the development of a local style that in some cases anticipated expressive trends (for example, “Pergamum Baroque”) typical of other periods and other centers of the Hellenistic world.
